If you enjoy baking and want to learn how to produce a range of cakes, bakes and treats, then this is the course for you. This highly practical, 7 week part-time course is perfect for beginners and enthusiasts alike and will give you the skills and knowledge you need to produce delicious chocolate brownies, Victoria sandwiches, flapjacks, loaf cakes, a range of cookies and different tray bakes. With class discussion you and other learners will largely decide what foods are made. By the end of the course you will be equipped with many ideas, recipes and sweet treats to try in your Air-Fryer or cooker. This course will also help you to develop your maths skills for life and work.

Who is this course for?
This course is for you if you want to learn how to make many bakes. If you are a beginner or if you have done cooking classes in the past. Our courses are for people who live in Derbyshire aged 19 and over.

How will I learn?
This is a classroom-based course. There will be many practical activities with guidance from your tutor. You will be given various tasks and can work on your own recipes. You will be given support and feedback from your tutor so you can improve.

What will I need?
Please wear old clothes or a shirt or apron as you may get messy. Please bring a tupperware container to take your food away with. You may wish to have a folder to store handouts, notes or recipes. Your tutor will give you support and feedback so you know what to do to improve.

Are there any other costs?
This is a free course and there are no further costs.
