Description

This course is a perfect introduction to Indian home-cooking for beginners. Improve your maths and learn how to work out household finances while you gain valuable tips to prepare basics such as spice blends and pastes to use when cooking Indian food. You will learn to make curries from scratch as well as pilau rice, chapattis and parathas. We will look at costs of recipes, comparing home-made meals to ready meals, changing recipe sizes, portion control and making sense of maths on packets or labels.

Who is this course for?
Suitable for beginners or if you've done some cookery before. You must live in Derbyshire and be aged 19 or over.

How will I learn?
This is a classroom-based course. There will be practical activities with guidance from your tutor.

What will I need?
Suitable clothing or an apron.
