Description
This course will help you improve your skills to participate in community life through learning about growing, caring for and propagating plants in raised beds at the Eco Centre garden. Learn about different soil types and garden habitats and use hand-tools to get the best out of your produce. Engage with your fellow learners in an enterprise project to sell your produce to a target market.
Who is this course for?
This course is for adults with learning disabilities and are beginners or have done some countryside skills or horticulture before. Our Tailored Learning courses are for people who live in Derbyshire aged 19 and over.
How will I learn?
This is a tutor-led, mostly outdoor course. There will be practical activities with guidance from your tutor. Your tutor will give you support and feedback so you know what to do to improve.
What will I need?
Please wear clothes appropriate for the weather and you don't mind getting messy, boots or trainers and a waterproof jacket.
Are there any other costs?
This course is free and there are no other costs.
